PISAREI
                 PASTA

Nearly every region of Italy has its own version of pasta  and "Pisarei"  is the specialty of the area around Piacenza North of Italy

For those who have been at least once to eat from the parts of Piacenza has probably seen  on the menu of the restaurants "Pisarei and fasò."(Pisarei pasta with Bean).
This is an old recipe from  Emilia Romagna region which is passed from generation to generation, from mother to daughter.
The ingredients are very basic, consistig in just  flour and bread crumbs. They are normally served in bacon, onion and tomato sauce.
The Pisarei and fasò are cooked with different variations, and it is for this reason that there is no "official" version of the recipe: there are those who prepare the sauce and who is without those who use to put together the sausage and bacon sausage and so on.

In our dinner "Flavours of Spring" SAT 20th April we wanted to make them even special serving these small home made Gnocchi with Mantuan Sausage and Borlotti Bean sauce. The result was just amazing..and here they are ...
